UK Children’s Commissioner to review ‘horrendous’ and age-inappropriate sex education teaching.
MP Miriam Cates, who sits on the committee, said constituents had written to her raising concerns over 'a nine-year-old coming home, shaking, white as a sheet, because they've been taught in detail about rape'.
She said one parent in her constituency had been 'distraught' that her six-year-old had been taught about masturbation in school.
Ms Cates said that encouraging pupils to talk about intimate details with adults made them more 'available' and 'susceptible' to sexual predators.
In the debate, she said contracting out RSE teaching to external providers created a 'Wild West scenario' when it came to teaching the topic.

Age-appropriate education standards and laws are being written in many U.S. states. This issue is not isolated to the U.K. All of this ties into the Gender Activists agenda as well. Teaching young children that sex is on a spectrum, or that there are more than two sexes is happening in our schools today.
A major case just wrapped up in the UK. Maya Forstater was forced out of her research position at the Center for Global Development because of her gender critical beliefs.
In the UK they have an employment tribunal to which anyone who thinks they’ve been fired without cause can appeal. Maya did. And after a lengthy and costly battle.
She won!
Here is how she responded to the verdict.
“My case matters for everyone who believes in the importance of truth and free speech.
“We are all free to believe whatever we wish. What we are not free to do is compel others to believe the same thing, to silence those who disagree with us or to force others to deny reality.
“Human beings cannot change sex. It is not hateful to say that; in fact it is important in order to treat everyone fairly and safely. It shouldn’t take courage to say this, and no one should lose their job for doing so.
“I am pleased that the Tribunal has allowed me to put on record what happened to me at the Center for Global Development. The tribunal has found that I was a victim of discrimination because I stated that biological sex is real and important, a view shared by the vast majority of people in this country. I hope employers will take note of the judgment.
“I would like to thank my family, who have gone through this with me over the past three years, and my legal team: barristers Ben Cooper QC and Anya Palmer, and my solicitor Peter Daly. Above all I want to thank the thousands of women and men who sent me their support, and in particular JK Rowling for standing by me in the darkest of days.
“To hear that my case has helped other people to speak up against unfair and discriminatory practices at work makes the hardship of the last three years easier to bear. All those who are fighting similar battles — and there are many such people now — have my solidarity and support.
“I also want to thank all the brilliant organisations fighting to protect sex-based rights. They will make the world a safer, fairer place for women and girls. They are stepping into the democratic space that well-funded organisations like CGD have vacated through cowardice.
“CGD’s unfair treatment of me, and prejudice against people who believe that sex is real, changed my life. If the organisation hadn’t ended my employment, I would never have co-founded Sex Matters. I would never have had the opportunity to be part of the amazing movement in the UK to re-assert the importance of sex-based rights.
We have had enough of being sidelined in language, law, policy and public spaces. This judgment is further evidence that the tide is turning.”

Overview
In 1877 Albert Bierstadt displayed this enormous composite of Sierra Nevada mountain views at a New York City exhibition with the generic title Mountain Lake. The following year, inspired in part by the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s well-publicized purchase of his rival Frederic Edwin Church’s Niagara, Bierstadt offered the work—rechristened Mount Corcoran—to the museum and its founder, William Wilson Corcoran. Staff and board members were deeply suspicious, but Bierstadt presented them with a War Department map showing the mountain’s location. Curator William MacLeod opined that a government official had manually added Corcoran’s name to the document, but it was revealed that the artist had, in fact, named a specific Sierra Nevada peak for the banker (albeit after he had offered him the canvas). Undeterred by the controversy surrounding the painting’s acquisition, the artist stated: “I am happy to have named one of our highest mountains after him, the first to catch the morning sunlight [and] the last to say good night.”
Bierstadt was the first artist to use his European training to translate field studies into expansive paintings celebrating western American grandeur. Evident everywhere in Mount Corcoran, from the glassy water to the snowy mountain peaks, are the artist’s detailed naturalism and smooth surfaces. Following the discovery of gold in California, the American West became a source of intense fascination for East Coast art patrons and armchair travelers alike who were eager to see images of the vistas enthusiastically described by forty-niners, surveyors, and journalists. In 1859 Bierstadt joined US Army Colonel Frederick W. Lander’s survey party to the Rocky Mountains. Four years later he set his sights on California’s spectacular Yosemite Valley. When he returned to New York following that trip, Bierstadt began producing stunning landscapes such as Mount Corcoranthat introduced eastern audiences to the natural wonders of the West.
