The pushback from Gay men continues. Gender Critical Lesbians, especially in the UK, have been raising red flags for some time now by suggesting that misogyny is at the heart of Gender Ideology. And they have been denounced as TERF’s (Trans-Exclusionary-Radical-Feminists) for doing so.
Here is a 13 minute video interview where two Gay men express their deep concern about Gender Identity Ideology and how it has captured important institutions.
The Gay Men’s Network was founded by Dennis Kavanagh – who is the legal commentator for Lesbian and Gay News. He says “gender identity ideology is a perfect vehicle for homophobia.”
"At the core of gender identity ideology is a simple proposition: if you're a gender non-conforming boy, if you're artistic or autistic, not big & macho, that's evidence you are in fact a female." - Dennis Kavanagh
The Queer Theory inspired abolishment of sex and sexuality is behind the Gender Identity and Expression movement. And more and more people are catching on….
For years Stonewall in the UK was considered by homosexuals as the premier gay rights advocacy organization. But not any more. According to the interviewer (who is a gay man):
Stonewall on their website and in their promotional materials, they've changed the definition of homosexual to say that this doesn't mean same-sex attracted this means same gender attracted and what they're meaning by that is that actually biology has nothing to do with same-sex attraction. Where of course I would argue that at the core of the gay rights movement is an acknowledgement of biology. [5:25]
Here is a 2018 YouTube video (approx 17 minutes) of Professor Michele Moore (Univ of Essex), editor and chief of Disability & Society, a peer-reviewed academic journal in the field of disability studies.
Moore has been a warrior for children and young people yet has been harshly denounced for disagreeing with Gender Identity activists who claim that self-identified “transkids” are always right and should always be “affirmed” in their belief that they are Transgender.
She touches on several topics discussed by this blog.
Social Contagion – teens identifying as trans in “friendship groups” offline and online
Schools Deceiving Parents About Social Transition
Social Services removing children from “non-affirming” parents.
4,500 percent increase in girls identifying as transgender over last decade in UK
“Conversion Therapy” Deception
2/3 of Self-ID “trans” teenagers previously identified with mental health disorders
35% of children referred to UK Tavistock Gender Clinic are on autistic spectrum
80% desistance rate once they go through puberty using “watchful waiting”
Normalizing dissociation from your natural body
Lifelong Medicalization of Identity
New kind of Homophobia
Experimentation on the bodies of our children
No child born in the wrong body
Self-ID of gender is illusory
This is about inclusion. Listen….
Here are some of her final words in the video….
I argue that self identity is brought on by the things people say. A backdrop of media, the internet, the increasing role of trans affirmative ideas in schools for children that affect our teachers and the parents....uncritical medical practice is recycling the idea that the cause of misaligned gender resides in the body. Even though medical interventions bring lifelong physical and psychological difficulties that will actually deepen gender-based dissatisfaction and never actually change a person's biological sex....
It's not coincidental that children's interests are being undermined by the idea of self-identification. There are a lot of stakeholders including Big Pharma who want them to identify as transgender and who don't want anybody to ask any sensible questions. Very conveniently puberty blockers and hormone therapy compounds gender confusion. First the child misses out on the puberty of their peers. Next an already confused girl has a vagina and a beard. The only way forward is more treatment, more treatment. Allegedly to relieve gender-dysphoria.
But the DeTransitioners that I'm working with and the people who regret transitioning tell us that gender-dysphoria doesn't go away with medical intervention because the problem doesn't reside in the body.My critique is not about exclusion. It's about inclusion. It's about allowing every girl to live her own kind of femininity without being excluded from her own bodyand without being excluded from a female sex class. And it's about inclusion so that any boy wants to wear pink dresses to school can do that and not be excluded from his own body. And his own sex class.
The idea that children are born in the wrong body, that gender is biological and sex isn't, and that children should be allowed to self-identify their sex and their gender, functions as a tool for adult self interest. Children are being confused in terrible ways...
Professor Moore puts her career and reputation on the line by saying what she says. She has “nerves of steel.”
Gender Ideologues animated by Queer Theory want to abolish the concepts of sex and sexuality. And they want to start teaching this to our kids at the earliest possible age. Please refer to the following “category” of posts: Schools and Gender Ideology for more information.

Ben Appel is gay. He’s also fearful of what he calls:
a frightening new version of homophobia pervading the U.S., disguised as, of all things, “LGBTQ” activism.
He just wrote an important opinion piece in Newsweek.
Appel enrolled in Columbia University and started an internship with two advocacy campaigns in Maryland promoting marriage equality & transgender rights legislation. He aspired to become a social justice writer and activist. But this didn’t quite work out:
My excitement about the internship quickly gave way to a nauseating mixture of fear and shame. I was, I quickly learned, not the right kind of "queer." I was just another "cis" (short for "cisgender," a word I had never even heard until it was assigned to me, typically as a slur) gay male—in other words, a privileged and unevolved relic of the past. After all, I had my rights—the right to marry, the right to serve openly in the military, the right to assimilate into this oppressive, "cisheteronormative," patriarchal society. It was time to make way for a new generation of "queer," one that had very little to do with sex-based rights and more to do with abolishing the concepts of sex and sexuality altogether.
Continuing his studies at Columbia he was introduced to Queer Theory.
... I learned about queer theory, an obscure academic discipline based largely on the writing of the late French intellectual Michel Foucault, who believed that society categorizes people—male or female, heterosexual or homosexual—in order to oppress them. The solution is to intentionally blur—or "queer"—the boundaries of these categories. Soon this "queering" became the predominant method of discussing and analyzing gender and sexuality in universities.
Queer theorists insist that subverting the categorizations which have been imposed upon young people—for example, the sex they were "assigned" at birth—is the ultimate expression of autonomy, and further, the key to liberating society from a system devised largely, so they claim, by cisgender white men. (Never mind the scientific and cultural achievements of women and racial minorities.)
Are you seeing any connection to the things I’ve been writing on this blog? I hope so. I’m occasionally asked, why are you so concerned about this issue? Because there are deep cultural currents at work here, about which most are completely unaware. Anti-creational currents. (Writing as a Christian, of course.)
Here’s the article in Newsweek. [Standard link disclaimer1Links from this blog to online resources don’t necessarily mean I support everything found there. But as adults we should embrace viewpoint diversity. And make alliances where we can.].
It is not enough to want to help “marginalized” folk. As he did. We must also tell them the truth. And point out radical untruths. As he did.
From a Christian worldview, the radical autonomy promoted by Gender Ideologues and Queer Theorists is, to use a very old word, idolatry, pure and simple.
It is the worship of the Autonomous Self.
But the Truth is we had nothing to do with being created male or female. A loving community brought us into being. And it cannot be undone.
We must help confused people accept who they were created to be. And tell them a great story about who they could become.
